Gibson Speight Bogue

Gibson Speight Bogue, 76, of Fremont passed away Wednesday morning, February 3, 2016 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Bogue was born September 15, 1939 in Wayne County to the late Marvin and Evelyn Sauls Bogue. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was employed at Firestone in Wilson.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, February 5, 2016 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine Street in Fremont.  A graveside service will be held Saturday morning, February 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. Eureka Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Lee Bogue of Fremont; two sons, Timothy Bogue and Christopher Bogue; three daughters, Rebecca Van Tuyl and husband, Richard, Mary Susan Gay and husband, Donald and Jacqueline Long and husband, Keith; one brother, Caswell Bogue and wife, Nancy; two sisters, Maxine Ward and husband, Roy and Annie Sue Denning and husband, Bobby; twelve grandchildren, Heather Schoneman and husband, Carl, Richard Lee Van Tuyl, Michael Gay, Alyssa Ann Dorcheus, Ashley Paige Williams, Alex Keith Long, Johnthon Authur Bogue, Christopher Speight Bogue Jr, Patricia Lynn Bogue, Morgan Alexander Bogue, Timothy Gibson Bogue Jr . and Laura Nicole Bogue; and five great-grandchildren, Avery Bell Gay, Riley Gibson Bogue, Alexis Marie Nichels, Destiny Rose Campbell and William Schoneman.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Jacqueline Brock and Beverly Pelt.

The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
