Otis Rudolph Hill, 94, of Lucama went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, February 23, 2019 at WakeMed in Raleigh.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. Burial will follow at Forehand Cemetery in Pikeville. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hill was born in Wilson County on November 4, 1924 to the late Otis and Emma Barnes Hill. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and member of St. Mary’s FWB Church.
He is survived by two sons, Carroll Hill and wife, Debbie of Newport and Kent Hill and wife, Becky of Elizabeth City; sister, Mildred Dixon of Raleigh; three grandchildren, Ashley Freeman and husband, Bill, Heather Henderson and husband, William and Wendy Hill Pesch and husband, Jason; five great-grandchildren, William B. Henderson Jr., Moses Elijah Freeman, Micaiah Freeman, Phoebe Freeman and Ayden Pesch and his sister-in-law, Laverne Hill of Lucama.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Sasser Hill and a brother, W.R. Hill.
The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
