Alma Peele Hooks, 62, of Fremont passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Brian Center in Goldsboro.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont. The family will greet friends following the service.
Alma was born in Wayne County on December 15, 1958 to the late Matthew Earl Hooks Sr. and Ruth Peele Hooks. She loved to travel and spending time with her four-legged babies, Roscoe, Buster and Fremont the cat.
She is survived by her aunt, Betty Peele; her first cousin, Ed Hooks and many other dear relatives and friends including Reggie Lewis and JoAnn Barnes and husband, Larry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Herman Lewis Hooks and Matt Hooks.
The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
