Betty Ann Lamp, 83, departed this walk of life Friday, December 16, 2022 at Goldsboro Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
A graveside service will be held Friday, December 23, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Pikeville Cemetery with Robert Goff officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Betty was born in Arkansas on September 25, 1939 to the late John Gordan Lamp and Flora Ann Arendell Lamp. She was one of the founding members of the Church of Christ in Goldsboro where she was a very devoted member and past Assistant Teacher for the Wayne County Public Schools System. She will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by one son, John Shandy of Colorado; three daughters, Jennice Crawford of Fremont, North Carolina, Tamela Caulder of North Dakota and Georgianna Heath of North Dakota; one sister, Virginia Lively of Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives, friends and her church family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Elmo Shandy; one son, David Shandy; one brother, Edward Lamp and one sister, Lula Brandon.
The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine Street in Fremont, North Carolina.
