Bobby R. Malcolm

Bobby Redden Malcolm, 82, of Pikeville passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025 at his home.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 29, 2025 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.  A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Pikeville Cemetery. 

Mr. Malcolm was born in Wayne County on August 14, 1943. He retired from APV after 30 years of dedicated service.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and NASCAR racing, but his greatest joy and pastime, was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Malcolm; two daughters, Donna Blackman and husband, Robert of Pikeville and  Rana Calcote and husband, Bobby of Pikeville; one brother, James Howell of Wisconsin; one sister, Brenda Ballance and husband, Raymond of Fremont; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Gurley and his mother, Marjorie Howell Pike.

The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
