Lucama – Cassie Brogden Newsome, 84, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the Brian Center of Wilson.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, NC. The Rev. Dr. De Wayne Eakes will officiate.
Cassie was a member of Little Rock Original Free Will Baptist Church, Lucama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl “Sugarboy” Newsome.
She is survived by her sons, Danny and wife, Darlene and Daryel and wife, Teresa; grandsons, Jason, Brad and Greg Newsome; granddaughter, Sharon Hardy; great-grandchildren. McKenzie and Braydan Jon Hardy and her brother, Ronald Edward Brogden of Spartanburg, SC.
The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
