Cindy Grimes, 60, of Stantonsburg passed away Friday, May 5, 2023 at home.
No formal service will be held at this time.
Mrs. Grimes was born in Sampson County on August 8, 1962 to the late Stacy Thigpen Sr. and Marie Wiggins Thigpen.
She is survived by her husband, Durwood Ray Grimes; one step-daughter, Lorrie Thomas of Myrtle Beach, SC; two brothers, Nelson Thigpen and Stacy Thigpen Jr. and wife, June; four sisters, Jane Robinson and husband, Clayton, Ginger Sturges, Diane Hight and husband, Philip and Wendy Thigpen; one step-granddaughter, Jessica Thomas and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 North Pine Street in Fremont.
