Donna Kay Bass

Donna Kay Bass, 71, of Pikeville went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, July 04, 2020 at home. 

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 07, 2020 at 7 p.m. at Kenly Missionary Baptist Church with visitation following.  A family graveside service will be held Wednesday at Pittman Cemetery in Fremont.

Mrs. Bass was born in New York on October 01, 1948.  She was a member of Kenly Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Donald Lee Bass Sr.; two daughters, Teresa Copeland and husband, Jack of California and Julie Grubb of Pikeville; two sons, Donald Lee Bass Jr. and wife, Krista of Kenly and William Reed Bass and wife, Jennifer of Burgaw; three brothers, Greg Kenneson and wife, Paula of Pennsylvania, Owen Scott Wargo and wife, Heidi of Florida and John Wargo of New Jersey; one sister, Wendy Noble and husband, Elwood of California; eleven grandchildren, John Paul Grubb II and wife, Krysten, Jeremy Amo and wife, Heather, Brandon Amo and wife, Ashley, Brittney Ballin, Matthew Grubb, Caleb Bass, Jacob Bass, Bella Grace Bass, Sophia Bass, Adler Bass and Jocelyn Bass and six great-grandchildren with one-on-the-way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Kenneson and Wanda Tuttle Wargo and her son in law, John Grubb.

The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 North Pine Street in Fremont.
