Dorothy (Wainwright) Howell

Dorothy Howell, 73, of Pikeville departed this earthly life January 1, 2025 at Wilson Health and Rehabilitation.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her husband, Charles A. Howell; one son, Ricky Hainey Jr. and wife, Carrie of Pinkney; one daughter, Sherri Sasser and husband, Frank of Fremont; eight grandchildren, Kesley Price (Brandon), Zachary Brooks (Jessica), Dylan Hainey (Taylor), Brandon Hainey (Caitie), Darick Brooks (Katie), Nick Hainey (Rebecca), Alexis Hainey (JP) and Colton Hainey and 13 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Dalton Wainwright; her mother, Ruby Lee Amerson and two sisters, Ruby Daine Lancaster and Cathy Delore Lancaster.

The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
