Elizabeth Darlene (Brantley) Barnes

Elizabeth Darlene Barnes, 59, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.   Burial will follow at Eureka Cemetery.

Mrs. Barnes was born in Virginia on November 13, 1958 to the late Tinker and Celia Coley Brantley. 

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Barnes; one son, B.J. Barnes of Fremont; three daughters, Sandra Newsome, Crystal Stith and Brandy Stith, all of Fremont; two sisters, Kay Hall and husband, Mike of Sanford and Joyce Alexander and husband, Warren of Elizabeth City; eleven grandchildren and her precious pet, Carley.

The family will receive friends Monday, May 7, 2018 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont and other times at 970 NC 222 East in Fremont.
