Grace Gower Daughtry, 86, of Pikeville received her ultimate healing Friday morning, March 8, 2024 at her home.
Funeral service will be held Monday, March 11, 2024 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. The family will greet friends following the service. Entombment will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Dudley.
Mrs. Daughtry was born in Johnston County on December 11, 1937 to the late Lawrence and Lavina Rowe Gower. She was a member of Pinkney Baptist Church and retired from the Nahunta Pork Center.
Cherishing her memories are her two daughters, Debbie Bradshaw and husband, Jesse of Fremont and Ann Brown and husband, Anthony of Princeton; one brother, Jimmy Gower and wife, Janis of Michigan; two sisters, Linda Dixon and husband, Gary of Wendell and Diane Creech of Kenly; sister-in-laws, Margarette Gower of Princeton and Carolyn Gower of Wilson Mills; three grandchildren, Jacob Bradshaw and wife, Kelli, Reese Brown and Casey Bradshaw and husband, Mel Robinson and one great-grandson, Hunter Robinson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Junior Daughtry; four brothers, Alton Gower, Wilton Gower, Elbert Gower and Gordon Gower and one sister, Kathy Stewart.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Pinkney Baptist Church, 3157 NC Highway 581 North, Fremont, NC 27830 in her memory.
The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to Gentiva Hospice for the loving care given.
