Jackie Ann (Love) Combs

Jackie Ann Love Combs, 83 of Snow Hill passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.  The family will receive friends following the service. A private family graveside will be held.

Ms. Combs was born in Wilson County on August 9, 1938 to the late Paul Alan Love and Gladys Tedder Love.  She was a member of Snow Hill Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Jeff Combs and wife, Pam of Clinton and Todd Combs and wife, Mary of Washington, NC; her daughter, Jacquelyn Combs of Havelock; one sister, Joyce Brantley and husband, Richard of Smithfield, Virginia; three grandchildren, Josh Combs and wife, Kasey, Dusty Combs and Joey Combs Jr. and wife, Brittany; six great-grandchildren, Molly, Caleb, Justin, Patrick, Zachary and Addison.  Ms. Combs is also survived by her caretaker and close friends, Chuck Buttermore IV, Edwina Daughtry, Susan Parker and several other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Combs was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Barnes and Cleo Black.

The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 North Pine Street in Fremont.
