Mary "Mousie" Ann (Barnes) Howell

Mary "Mousie" Ann Howell, 70, of Pikeville passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Golden Gate Cemetery in Pikeville. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mousie was born in Wayne County on September 7, 1955 to the late William "Bob" Bernice and Mary Beatrice Walls Barnes.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Donald Clifton Howell; one brother, Gary Barnes and wife, Beckie of Fremont; two sisters, Bobbie Barnes of Pikeville and Linda Parks and husband, Morris of Mt. Olive and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bernice "Bud" Barnes; her sisters, Alice Lieder and Nancy Barnes and her brother-in-law, Danny Barnes.

Services entrusted to the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine Street in Fremont.
