Ollie (Fleming) Fornecker

Ollie Fleming Fornecker, 96, of Pikeville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

A private family graveside service will be held Wednesday at Pikeville Cemetery.  A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Fornecker was born in Wayne County on December 21, 1923 to the late Lloyd and Clara Morris Fleming. She was a member of St. Joseph United Methodist Church where she was a devoted member of the choir while her health permitted.

She is survived by her two sons, Mike Fornecker and wife, Janelle of Kings Mountain and Gary Fornecker of Pikeville; one brother, Bobby Fleming of Pikeville; five grandchildren, Ben Fornecker, Kay Wigington and husband, Ken, Joe Fornecker, Mitch Fornecker and wife, Jordan and Sam Fornecker and wife, Gina and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fornecker was preceded in death by her loving husband, Irving Michael Fornecker; one brother and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph United Methodist Church in Pikeville.

The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
