Reverend Elbert Barnette Reeves, received his heavenly reward Tuesday, May 20, 2025 where he met his Lord and Savior that he preached about for over 43 years.
A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 3 p.m. at ParkEast Church of God where he was a member. The family will receive friends following the service.
Reverend Reeves was born on January 9, 1944 to the late Albert and Madeline Barnette Reeves. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Germany. Reverend Reeves was an ordained minister with the Church of God for over 43 years serving churches throughout North Carolina, alongside his wife.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cornelia Reeves; two sons, Dean Reeves of Fremont and Elvin Wade Reeves of Fremont; one brother, Woodson Reeves and wife, Iris of Fremont; one sister, Sonya Lane and husband, Chuck of Mount Olive and his one and only precious granddaughter, Maddie Brown-Reeves.
