Susie "Sue" (Sauls) Proctor

Susie "Sue" Sauls Proctor, 72, of Fremont went to be with her heavenly father, July 2, 2025 at her home.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.  The family will receive friends Monday, July 7, 2025 from 5 until 6:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.                              

Mrs. Proctor was born in Wilson County on December 4, 1952 to the late James Russell and Effie Pate Sauls.  She was a life long member of Fremont Free Will Baptist Church.  Susie was retired from Park Design of Goldsboro.

She is survived by her sons, Jamie Proctor and wife, Brandy of Canton, N.C. and Shannon Proctor of Fremont; her brother, Danny Sauls and wife, Renee of Pinkney; her sister, Polly Effler and husband, Tom of Dudley; her sister-in-law, Debra Sauls of Pikeville and her brother-in-law, Brian Tyndall of Pikeville.

In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Proctor; two brothers, Rusty Sauls and Billy Sauls and her sister, Diane Tyndall.
