Willard "Bill" Lee Seagle

Willard “Bill” Lee Seagle, 87, of Stantonsburg went to be with his Lord and joined his wife waiting for him at heaven's gates on Wednesday evening, November 12, 2025 at his home.

 

Funeral service will be held Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 3 p.m. at Watery Branch FWB Church in Stantonsburg. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the church.

Bill was born in Guildford County, NC on January 22, 1938.  He was a faithful member of Watery Branch FWB Church where he sang in the choir and volunteered where he could be of assistance.  His dedication to the Lord was shown by his love towards others as he had no enemies and loved everyone.  He, along with his wife, enjoyed to travel to see family and going on church trips including Cragmont Camp and Retreat Center in Black Mountain, NC.  He will be missed by all. 

 

He is survived by four children, Terry Seagle and wife, Cindy, Jim Seagle, Steve Seagle and Donna Gramstad and husband, Mike; two sisters, Ann Pegram and Brenda Peavey; his grandchildren, Kevin, Richard, Derrick (Bobbie Jean), Brandon (Rebecca), Krista and Lee; his great-grandchildren, Ryan, Bristol, Tate, Dawson and Alaina Blake; a special family friend, Marge Finn and a host of other relatives and friends. 

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Jean Seagle; daughter-in-law, Renee Seagle; his brother, Jim Seagle and a granddaughter, Lexie Ann Seagle.

The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 North Pine Street in Fremont.
