Annie Mae Boykin

Annie Mae Boykin, 79, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.

Ms. Boykin was born on September 5, 1937 in Wilson County to the late James and Annie Howell Hillard.

She is survived by her sister, Marie Lucas and husband, Johnnie of Wilson; her niece, Deborah Ballance and husband, Gerald of Pikeville, and their children, Ann Marie and Bryant Ballance.

Ms. Boykin was preceded in death by her brother, James Carl Boykin.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Goldsboro. She was a graduate of the Wilson School of Nursing, and a retired registered nurse with Special Care Center of Wilson.  

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 31 at 3:30 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Wilson.

The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 North Pine Street in Fremont.
